Special Pickups

Big garbage

In 2023, the big garbage collect will be held on May 2nd, July 4th and October 17th.

You can dispose of your big garbage (sofa, table, chairs, big appliances, etc.). To do this, two special collections are held during the year in July and October. The exact dates will be communicated to you in due course. The morning of the special collection of the big rubbish, you only have to drop them on the street with the regular garbage.  To do so, leave it on the side of the road, beside your garbage bin.
Construction materials must be taken to the Eco-Centre. For more information on accepted materials, business hours, or rates call the Eco-Centre at 819 845-2544 or visit their Web site.

A special collection for (HHW) takes place once a year in the spring for all citizens of Richmond.  To participate, bring your (HHW) to the Community Centre in Richmond, on the scheduled date. (They also often accept on site: Clothes, computers, glasses, CD's and Fluocompact bulbs.)

During the year you can bring your used batteries and ink cartridges to the Town Hall or the RCM library. If you missed Household Hazardous Waste day you can bring your articles to the Eco-Centre located in St-François.
